Two days ago, my internet provider, Cox Internet, could not connect to Google via browser based navigation. Many subscribers throughout Nevada and Southern California were unable to resolve the internet giant by direct access. Interestingly enough, trace routes and pings via SSH and Telnet were resolved, but browser navigations only produced a blank page. Not only was Google.com unreachable but any website who utilized adsense or Google Analytics were causing for lengthy downloads to half pages or simply non-resolved websites. Many of my favorite RSS websites, completely unreachable if they hosted any Google entity - maps, analytics, adsense etc.. All unreachable.

I don’t know just how much of the world depends on Google for much of their website, but two days ago, I realized that without Google, the internet just disappears.

I was able to reach Yahoo and Live.com however, but they are not Google, and so I shut down my computer and ended my day early in hopes that the issue would resolve, which it did the very next day.
